Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Youngblood began his first season as the varsity assistant coach at Clear Creek HS this year. This is his twenty first year of coaching. Coach Youngblood has been a Region 3 Director for the Texas HS Baseball Coaches Association for the last three years, and was the head baseball coach at Hightower HS for the last ten years in the Fort Bend ISD.

Prior to coming to the Fort Bend ISD, Coach Youngblood was an assistant coach for four seasons at Brenham High School. He gained much experience working in a program that had made it to the playoffs twenty-six out of the last thirty years. Before Brenham, Coach Youngblood served three years as the head baseball coach of Taft High School in south Texas, after also beginning his coaching career there as an assistant.

Coach Youngblood received his degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, where he was a member of the H-SU baseball team. He graduated from Mineral Wells HS, after completing his 9th and 10th grade years at Austin Anderson HS.

He is married to Judy, a nurse for UTMB at the Pediatric Urgent Care Center here in League City, and they have three children—Kaylee (21) and Ty (16) and Cody (8).
