Galveston-Ball HS did not fare well when the Wildcats came to their island. It was annihilation.

Sophomore

Despite several exciting occurrences on the Creek side, this was a very slow-moving game. Galveston could not field a pitcher than could throw strikes, and Creek took full advantage - loading the bases almost every inning. For eight hits, Creek scored 15 runs, including two off of a homerun from Tyler Pierce! Also, EJ Garza (corrected) knocked a double to centerfield that brought in three runs! Eventually, Coach Ward held up runners on second and third base during passed balls and wild pitches because by then, Galveston was run-ruled and it was only a matter of playing out the latter innings.

Another exciting development for Creek during this game was that the freshman pitcher, Jonathan Thiess, had a no-hitter in progress. Unfortunately, he was relieved for the final inning, and the game ended as a one-hitter.

Strong outing from the Sophomore team - they won 15-1, run-ruling Galveston in five innings.

Matt "Sonic Boom" Seale led off with a homer which he has done before in other games. The Creek hitters started off the first inning hitting away and continued in the next innings but still left ducks on the pond. Galveston-Ball had only one run (unearned due to an error in the first). Several very good bunts by Travis Williams and others that brought in runners. Alex Benavides had a triple in the fifth that gave us two RBIs. That really got things off to a good start, with the sixth inning clinching a 10-run rule for Creek. Cole Waidhofer pitched six innings with 13 strikeouts.
